I’ve mentioned my mental health in various posts, not forgetting my weekly Therapy Talk Tuesday posts but if you only read my blog posts but don’t have me on Insta or Twitter then you probably won’t see the times when I’m having a really bad mental health day.
These happen whenever they want and sometimes can be triggered by an event or situation. PMS has an impact and so does everyday stress.
One of the things I like to do when I’m having a bad day is find some quotes to comfort me – little reminders that I’m going to be okay, this isn’t permanent and it’s okay not to be okay.
These are my favourite, most empowering quotes. These are the quotes that allow me to be me. They comfort me as much as they provide me with a sense of inner strength and I cling to them like a life raft in a storm when I’m struggling! I don’t want quotes about the mental health itself – I want quotes about me as a person – a survivor, a person in recovery and someone who is doing something amazing every day just by getting out of bed.
